Yay

Yay’s mission is to be the life of the party, delivering more than just wine but a whole experience that encourages connection, laughter, and shared moments. Yay turns the ordinary wine experience into a playful, interactive social event by including games, trivia, and quizzes on the packaging. Every can is an invitation to play, explore, and embrace the “Yay” in life.

Our visual identity reinforces this energy, with a striking contrast between bright neon hues that represent each flavor and a rebellious black spray-painted logo on crisp white packaging. This design choice captures both the spontaneity and cool, edgy vibe of our brand, resonating particularly with young people seeking a casual, fun, and social drinking experience.

NeueAir is the future of flight—where elegance meets functionality. Inspired by the iconic Helvetica Neue typeface, the logo and typography are streamlined, geometric, and minimalistic—with an icon evoking a propeller plane and signifying forward motion. Our color palette is punchy and impactful, primarily featuring our vibrant, sunset-inspired orange, with black and white as timeless accents.

The featured ad campaign entitled “NeueLife” highlights the transformative power of travel with NeueAir, where each flight is not just a journey to a destination, but the start of something Neue.

EarlyBird

Early Bird is a breakfast food truck that specializes in Southern comfort breakfast foods bringing the warmth and heartiness of slow, Southern mornings to bustling metro areas.

Our branding reflects the nostalgic, down-home feel you get when you cross the mason-dixon while maintaining an urban edge that resonates with city dwellers seeking comfort food on the go. Playful but readable typefaces nod to retro diner signage, and feelings of nostalgia. The bird illustration peeking out from the altered sans serif logo serves as a simple, iconic mark for the brand across multiple touchpoints.

We like to remind passersby to stop and smell the coffee. Enjoy a hearty chicken biscuit made with love, smothered in gravy, and served with a side of Southern charm. Y’all come back now!

The Virginian

The Virginian is more than a classic Western; it’s the story that defined the genre. The redesign aims to bridge the gap between new readers and long-time fans with a fresh, contemporary book cover that reflects the novel’s themes of honor, justice, and rugged individuality while distinguishing the book from other traditional Westerns on the shelf. Bold typography and a restrained color palette nod to the modernity of the design approach, as well as the symbolic atypical western graphics.

The Backroad Not Taken

The Backroad Not Taken is an eclectic travel book detailing a collection of places across the great state of Alabama that you won’t find unless you venture off the beaten path. Posters, postcards, stickers, and magnets accompany the travel guide as memorabilia from not-so-famous sights such as the World’s Only Coon Dog Cemetery, and the Sipsey Wilderness.

Minimalist layouts favoring negative space, and a postmodernist handling of images combine to create a space for your eyes to both indulge and rest. These stylistic choices engage a new audience in the market of existing travel books, which tend to fall into a tame, templated approach geared towards an older demographic. The Backroad Not Taken encourages readers, Alabamian or otherwise, to explore their surroundings and venture into the unknown to rediscover the forgotten wonders of the world.
